Along with the Fujifilm X-S10 mirrorless camera, the company has redesigned its wide angle zoom lens. The XF10-24mm F4 R OIS WR comes equipped with better image stabilization performance, a new aperture ring, and a weather-resistant design.
Optically, the APS-C sized lens stays the same, with 14 lens elements in 10 groups that include four aspherical elements and four extra-low dispersion elements.
Combined, they help to minimize spherical aberration, distortion, and chromatic aberration. While not the fastest lens wide open, the F4 aperture is consistent throughout the zoom range, whereas similar Nikon and Tamron lenses adjust from F3.5-4.5. When using a 35mm full-frame sensor, the zoom is a 15mm-36mm equivalent.
